The Program - Private Tutorials / Homework Help

All classes range from 1 hour to 1 hr 30 minutes focusing on

  • Reading
  • Grammar
  • Spelling
  • Oral communication

These sessions take place 1 to 2 times a week and focus on getting the students back on track at school and to further improve their grades.

Students will receive a variety of handouts geared to their specific needs. Most students and parents notice an improvement within 4 to 6 weeks. In many cases a full letter grade improvement is achieved through the French Class program.

Private/one on one learning sessions are also available and a range of times and locations are available.

The Program - Group Session

Entry Level French

All Classes are 1 hour consisting of 4 equal parts (15min each). In each class the first 30min will consist of new material and the last 30 min. will be revision.
 
The last two classes of the semester will consist of an entire course revision. Course content for the semester will be as follows:

  • Singing the French Alphabet 
  • Singing Tête, épaules, genoux, et pieds,along with other French songs 
  • Reading short french books 
  • A question period 
  • Reviewing notes 
  • Overlooking french magazines 
  •  When to use masculin & feminin
  • Learning how to say our names and ask others their names
  • Learning the days of the week
  • Learning the months of the year
  • Counting 1-20 in French
  • Counting by 10’s ex : 20-30-40-50-60-70-80-90-100
  • Learning the 24hr. Clock
  • Learning colors
  • Learning articles of clothing
  • Learning compass direction (nord, sud, est, ouest)
  • Learning animal names
  • Occupations
  • Parts of the body
  • Learning the French pro-nouns : Je, Tu, Il/Elle,
    Nous, Vous, Ils/Elles (Will be repeated through out the semister)
  • A total of 24 verbs will be taught throughout the semester

* English Tutorials may also be provided to students attending a French Immersion School.

French Class Schedule

French Classes are available througout Summer 2008 however, space is limited. Class will take place one day a week. Classes will begin the first week of July and run for 8 weeks

Classes for Fall 2008 will be on a first come first serve basis secure your spot prior to August 15, 2007.

Discounts are available for siblings and groups of 2 or more.
